To assist in making the centrality of justice and peace an integral part of the mission of the Church

To lift up and champion the role of women, young people, indigenous communities and other marginalized groups to have full voice and representation as a matter of justice

To provide a venue for communities to bring forward issues of justice and peace in their local context giving them access to the wider Christian community for partnership and joint witness

To provide resources for the whole Church to enable local parishes, dioceses and other communities to educate and advocate for global reconciliation

To advocate human rights (especially for women and children), environmental justice and peacemaking to the Church, civil society and governments wherever injustice exists
